Matted Fur

Two days ago I posted a post called 'Knotted Hair'. In case you were wondering, no this isn't a follow up post . . .
I have two pet dogs, a chocolate Labrador cross Collie (Flynn) and a Yorkshire Terrier (Billy) - they are far from similar! Flynn is a large dog but he is a wimp and he acts like a small baby you see in a advert. Billy however is a tiny dog that barks extremely loud and thinks that he is Aslan from Narnia. Flynn loves to be groomed but he doesn't need it as his fur is never knotted or untidy. Billy's is knotted, matted and always coated in mud . . . or should I say was.

^ Flynn. This is a older photo but he hasn't changed much!

^ This is one of the only decent photo's I have of Billy as he has to be asleep for me to take them. Even this one is blurry and you can see the dirt of the matted fur!
Flynn was my first pet :) To be honest he is a big softie! He will lie down next to you and act as a big pillow. He is really energetic and he will run all the way to Australia if he knows his ball or his teddy is there! So I have been with Flynn since pretty much birth! At first I was a bit shaky about having a pet around but I don't regret any of it! He is the most loyal companion you will ever get!

Billy is another story. We got him of this lady. By we I mean my mum. I was in Scunthorpe at the time so I had no idea we were even getting a new dog. That was until I got an email saying there was a new 'addition' to the family - you know what I was thinking at that point! So when I got back I was expecting another little bundle of joy to greet me. Instead Billy looked at me for a bit and then lied back down. He was annoyed with me because I woke him up so we didn't get off to a great start. Everybody was telling me how he had to have his fur cut because he was filthy! They had washed him and the water was black - no exaggerations! It didn't take long for his fur to grow back and because we have had a harsh winter in England we couldn't cut it. And no matter how hard we tried to brush his fur, the knots kept coming! So today we took him down to the vets and this is him now! Like I said earlier though, I can only get photos of him sleeping and he only sleeps at night so the photo isn't very clear!

Some people get small dogs and cut their fur to make it look fancy, I would just like to point out this is not what has happened!
I'm not to sure what today's blog was trying to get across but I feel better if I haven't written a blog because then I know I have one less thing to think about!

'Till next time,
MorganRuby x

P.S. I haven't had enough time to re read this blog so if I misspelled anything or if something doesn't make sense please tell me (but don't be mean about it)

Haha I like how you mentioned this isn't a follow up. haha
And I know alllll about matted fur. I have a Siberian cat who's fur is constantly matting. Since I never got her used to brushing I either cut them out or, like you, I will let the Vet do it. Much easier.

Flynn loves having his fur groomed but his fur never gets matted so he gets slightly annoyed when Billy gets brushed and he doesn't :( Billy hates it though! When we got him off the lady, he wasn't groomed properly and it looked like she never really cared properly for him :( If we had him from a puppy maybe he would've liked being groomed, but since that never happened - he is the groomers problem! :D I agree with you, it is MUCH EASIER! N'aaaaawh - cats are so cute :) I've never had a cat, I've only ever had Flynn and Billy x Is it nice having a cat? :)

Yea the vet is the best. I took my cat to a groomer once, and she abused my poor kitty. I'm pro vet for grooming. And yess cats are so cute. One day you should get one. Their personalities are totally different from dogs. Their more independent and aloof, but they're hilarious. I love having cats. I actually have 4 .. haha I'm gonna be a crazy cat lady. I have a slideshow of 3 of my cats on my weebly. It shows em all when they were kittens and and it shows recent photos. Check it out. GET A CAT! haha

My dog likes the groomers because the one we go to is quite small and what he does is he acts like he owns the place! I've never been to the vet because ours is quite far out and the groomers is a LOT cheaper! I wouldn't be able to get a cat for the following reasons :
1. My stepdad does not like cats whatsoever and it would take a miracle for him to even own one for a few days
2. Because I have dogs that are always taught to 'get the cattttttttttttssssssss' (not literally, just something we say and then they look out of the window)
3. We don't have a lot of space in our house for 4 people (and two dogs ((we have a 2 bed house)) of course) let alone with another fury animal :(

Hopefully I might get a cat one day but I will have to get my own house first! :D

Haha well I totally understand your situation! Most people are either a cat person or a dog person, and as far as a little house, that definitely sounds like enough people and animals! Haha.Well then yes, ONE DAY... you can get your own furry little kitten. Till then you have plenty of cat videos on Youtube. haha
